c. Click on Firefox button, and move to Help > click Troubleshooting Information.

d. Click Reset Firefox button.

Google Chrome

a. Click the menu icon, move to More tools and click Extensions.
b. Choose Surftastic and other suspicious add-ons, remove them by clicking the Trash icon.

c. Click the menu icon and choose Settings.
d. Click Show advanced settings

e. Scroll down the page and click Reset settings button.

f. Click Reset when the warning pops up.

STEP 3

Remove all files of Surftastic from the Operating System.

a. Open Run box by hitting Windows and R keys simultaneously.

b. Type a command regedit to the box and click OK.

c. In Registry Editor, remove the files as shown below:

 
C:/program/appdata/Roaming/Surftastic/uninst.exe
HKCU/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/uninstall [random]
HKCU/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/Windows/CurrentVersion/Disallow/Run [random]
